S Worek November 03, 2014 for Model Number mvwc400xw2 When I press the start button it will begin to start and then it stops and it unlocks.
1 Answer S. Worek, You will want to access the control panel and get the tech sheet out of it. Put the unit into a diagnostic mode and see if there are any stored error codes. This will give you an indication of what to check if there are any error codes stored. It could be a bad door lock, control board, water valve. This is the reason that you would want to check for error codes. Read More...
Tim July 07, 2014 for Model Number 110.21102012 The machine stops at the spin cycle, but I can put it on spin/drain and it will spin.
1 Answer Tim, Apparently the lid is closed and latching, so your next check is at the actuator WPW10006355 on the motor gearcase assembly. Check and make sure there are no loose wires or connections at the wiring harness and connectors. If all's OK replace the actuator. Read More...
Steve April 13, 2014 for Model Number M#110.21202010 Kenmore top load washer. Does not fully spin out water. Underside looks good. Tub moves freely. No noises, goes through all cycles, but still leaves clothes wet. Was wondering if this could also be a timer issue. Is there anything else I can check?
1 Answer Steve, It's not likely a timer/control issue. You've done some of the basic checks, now make sure the drain hose isn't twisted or kinked, set too deep in the drain pipe, Make sure you use the proper type and amount of detergent and the washer isn't overloaded. You may have to remove and check the drain pump assembly and hoses to make sure there isn't any debris in the assembly(s).You may have to remove the shield and check that the belt is properly adjusted, and there's no oil or slippage from the belt. Bill December 30, 2013 for Model Number Model 110. 21302011 The washer does not spin cycle. What are the most likely causes of this? Most likely first, then second etc. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Bill. Check the large pulley under the bottom of the unit and see if it loose or has come off. If it is good, make sure there is no clothes between the two tubs. If that is good, make sure the unit is draining properly. Read More...
