Tom, the filter is part number EDR3RXD1. The filter is located at the bottom in the front of the refrigerator behind the grille. There is a cap you will twist off and the filter will pull out. Hope this helps.

Hello. Your model has a push button to the left of the water filter. When you press it in, the water filter will pop out and you should be able to replace the filter. You will have to remove the cap off by turning it counter clockwise from the old filter and put it on the new one. Remember to flush the air out of your system by running at least two gallons of water through it. Hope this helps!

Hello Barbara, More than likely if the filter is dry then it did not get pushed in all the way. If the cap was sticking out and not sitting flush this would be the case. When you install the filter you should hear a rush of water going into the filter. You then want to purge the water line with about 3 gallons of water. Just after you start purging there will be break in the water flow due to air in the lines. The water when it is cold will taste different than tap water.

Hello Tracey, If you look at or near the ceiling of the fresh food side of the unit, you should see the I.D. tag. This will have the model and serial number. There are several types of water filters and I would hate to have you order the wrong one. If you still cannot find it, at least let us know if the filter is a canister type (filter that goes into a plastic housing), a canister style (like an oil filter), or one of the long thin ones. This will at least get us into the ball park.

Hello Shanna, depending on the model you might need the fast fill water filter EDR3RXD1 or a standard filter EDR3RXD1. You can use the standard water filter but might reduce the flow in a fast fill system. Thanks!
