Deborah December 30, 2012 for Model Number Kitchenaid KSRY25C How do you remover water filter to replace it on the KitchinAid ksry25c
1 Answer Hello. Your model has a push button to the left of the water filter. When you press it in, the water filter will pop out and you should be able to replace the filter. You will have to remove the cap off by turning it counter clockwise from the old filter and put it on the new one. Remember to flush the air out of your system by running at least two gallons of water through it. Hope this helps! Read More...
Barbara F December 08, 2012 for Model Number KitchenAid refrid model no. Kscs25fbv1 01 Water filter whirlpool 4396710 was dry when auto reminder went off. We remember past used filters had water inside when we removed them. How can we tell if filter is actually "filtering" the water. The water seems to taste fine but maybe it just tastes better than tap because it is cold. Can something be clogged preventing water from going through? How can we check this? Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Hello Barbara, More than likely if the filter is dry then it did not get pushed in all the way. If the cap was sticking out and not sitting flush this would be the case. When you install the filter you should hear a rush of water going into the filter. You then want to purge the water line with about 3 gallons of water. Just after you start purging there will be break in the water flow due to air in the lines. The water when it is cold will taste different than tap water. Read More...
Tracey December 02, 2012 for Model Number 12858118 Hi! I need to replace the water filter in my Admiral refrigerator. It si a 26 CU FT Side by Side and the only number I can locate is 12858118. Any help would be much appreciated!
1 Answer Hello Tracey, If you look at or near the ceiling of the fresh food side of the unit, you should see the I.D. tag. This will have the model and serial number. There are several types of water filters and I would hate to have you order the wrong one. If you still cannot find it, at least let us know if the filter is a canister type (filter that goes into a plastic housing), a canister style (like an oil filter), or one of the long thin ones. This will at least get us into the ball park. Read More...

Shanna October 17, 2012 In my product guide it tells me the part # 4396710 for the filter but my actual filter and box has a part# 4396841. Do both # work with this or is there some kind of difference with the 2 part #s?
1 Answer Hello Shanna, depending on the model you might need the fast fill water filter EDR3RXD1 or a standard filter EDR3RXD1. You can use the standard water filter but might reduce the flow in a fast fill system. Thanks! Read More...
