Debbie December 20, 2016 for Model Number whirlpool I have a Whirlpool side by side and changed my filter today. I was having water in the line and thought it could have been the water filter. I replaced it so I removed it and tried to put it back in and now it will not lock into position. Do you know what might cause this? I even used another water filter but it still won't lock in place. Pedram May 25, 2016 for Model Number WRF736SDAM11 I got a problem with disappearing "replace filter" on my Wirlpool refrigerator. I just changed the filter but the screen still shows replace filter. 1 Answer Dorothy, The best way to determine what the failure is, if you have a filter bypass then take the filter out and put the bypass in and see if the water is working. If the water is starts working then the filter is bad and would need to be replaced. If the water still does not work then you will want to check the water supply to make sure that it is on and that water is coming through the water valve. I read the owners manual and comments and questions online and it states to run the water for 10 minutes and push the change filter pad and the lock pad simultaneously for at least 3 seconds and the light should blink then go off. I have no pad where the change filter light is and the lock pad does nothing. What will make the light go out?
