Kath June 17, 2014 for Model Number ED22QFXHW00 The video is great and the tube he installed is exactly what I need. That little white piece that came attached to the tube is what broke on my fridge. However, I believe that is the part that is "no longer included." Tubing without a drip valve does not get water in the glass! How do I get this little part, or the tubing with the drip valve attached that he installed?
1 Answer Hello Kath, The metal part that the line mounts in should hold the end of the water line in the correct position to fill the glass. Where the water flow is directed is totally dependent on how it is installed in the metal bracket it comes with. Read More...
James April 09, 2014 for Model Number KSRB22FK I have a kitchenaid superba side by side fridge freezer. Not sure of it's exact age as it came with the house when we bought it in 2009. The water dispenser leaks sometimes, but only after filling a glass. It won't suddenly start dripping by itself. This may be a slow drip (~1 per second) or a fast drip (3-4 per second). When it drips and is left unattended (e.g overnight, there will be a huge puddle and it is damaging my floor. Can you tell me the parts I will need to fix it? I have searched online for an anti-drip valve for this model but haven't found one, and as we live in Hawai'i, and shipping can be troublesome, I don't want to order the wrong part only to have to send it back. many thanks, James
1 Answer Hello James. It sounds like you will need to order and replace the water valve W10822681 on the unit. Read More...
Bob March 01, 2014 for Model Number KSSO48QMB02 Could you tell me what part is required to stop the drip {1 drop per hour} from my water dispenser? I put new filter in still drips.
1 Answer Hello Bob. Remove the water line from the valve and see if the valve drips. If so, you will need to replace the water valve on the unit. Read More...
Karl January 16, 2014 for Model Number KSRB25FHSS04 Purchased 11/7/01, Installed 1/1/02. Existing valve extension tube, for the water dispenser assembly, has broken off just below the small chamber assembly, above the water dispenser arm. Is it possible to replace the chamber assembly? There is a fitting behind the dispenser arm which is accessible from the front of the dispenser area. The chamber assembly seems to be a complete unit with a 1" tube extending below the chamber. The chamber assembly looks like a flat bubble with a tube coming off the top and continuing around the front into a metal bracket above the dispenser arm. Thanks, Karl
1 Answer Hello Karl. To repair the unit, you must order and replace part number 8201537 on the unit. Read More...
Jb July 27, 2013 for Model Number Ed25pexhb02 The water dispenser continually drips after filling a glass. I replaced the line in the door, 8201537, which came from another supplier. The packaging said anti drip valve not included but I don't see that part listed. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Hello JB. Check for leaking or bad water valve, kinked/restricted water lines or extremely low water pressure (less than 20 psi). Once these thing have been checked, replace existing water reservoir with new redesigned water reservoir kit number WP2256126. Read More...

Nadine April 18, 2013 for Model Number Whirlpool ED5LVAXVB00 Ok, this fridge was in storage for a year. Everything was perfect when it went into storage. Once hooked up to water line, water tasted horrible. So far have had the water valve replaced, the reservoir and the line from the fridge to the wall. The taste is 85% better leading me to the conclusion that it's the water line in the door or the one from the door to the reservoir. I'm thinking I need to change at least the line in the door. I cant find the parts though and would appreciate instructions as well....probably for both lines. I'm determined to get this resolved without spending any more $$ cuz the fridge is 5 years old!! Help and yes, I've changed the filter out twice so it is NOT that. Replacing the reservoir eliminated 85% of the taste but it is still present. Thank you Nadine
1 Answer Hello Nadine. The only way to replace the water line in the door is a new door assembly L2263883B. Read More...
James December 01, 2012 for Model Number Whirlpool Refrigerator Model GD22DFXFW02 I am not getting any water from the dispenser on the door. I've disconnected the line at the fitting at the door hinge, feeding up through the freezer door. I get water at that point when pushing the dispenser switch so I know the reservoir is not frozen and the activation switch and solenoid are operating properly. I assume the line is clogged or frozen in the freezer door. I cannot blow air through the line. I am now trying to determine if it is frozen or clogged. Is there a way to thaw the line out or do I have to replace it?
1 Answer James, sounds like you will need to replace the fitting. The part number is 8201537. Thanks! Read More...
Bobbie November 22, 2012 for Model Number ED5FHGXKQ00 Is there a video with instructions for replacing Whirlpool part # 8201537?
1 Answer Hello Bobbie, We do not have a video to help install part. The way that you install the part you will have to remove front cover from the dispenser. You do this by using flat blade screwdriver under at the bottom of panel and pry out. This will pop the dispenser assembly out. You would then remove the dispenser bracket and remove the screw that holds the water line in place. Remove the lower kickplate of unit and disconnect hose that is at the bottom of door. Once disconnected you can do one of 2 ways to get the new water line in. You could pull the old out and just push the new one thru, you may have to lift door off hinge to get the line out of the door and through hinge. You could also tape the 2 ends of the old and new hose together and try to pull through from the bottom of the hinge. Once through reinstall. There should be instructions with he part that tells how the bracket goes on. Read More...
Ejraleman July 18, 2012 for Model Number Kitchen Aid I have to say part fixed the dispensing after letting go of arm. Now it seems to leak little droplets throughout the day. Would pressure, water filter or length of tubing coming from source have anything to do with this problem? Was very impressed when completing install and tried it out. Left for a few hours and came back to notice water on floor and overflow tray. If you could please assist in any way I would appreciate it, thanks.
1 Answer Hello. If all the air is out of the lines, you will need to replace the water valve if the water is leaking in the unit. Read More...
