Cindy November 23, 2014 for Model Number GHW9400PL2 I ordered this part for replacement. The washer gets heavy use. That being said, I assume it's inadvisable to use without it? Would this unbalance the machine? Thanks--
1 Answer Cindy, Yes, a missing baffle could create an issue with vibration and off balanced loads. The clothes wont tumble and separate properly and could "bunch up" and not distribute properly in the tub. But the more important issue would be damage to the articles washed in the washer. Gary Whisenhunt November 19, 2014 for Model Number WFW9400SW02 The correct baffle for my model # is part # W10250572 and these can be purchased in a quantity of 1 , my question is part # 285976 is a baffle package with a quantity of 3 can you tell me if the baffles used in part # 285976 are the same identical baffle as the part # W10250572 ? Brian S October 11, 2014 for Model Number kenmore elite front loading washer model # 110.47081600 Our washer drum baffle broke off and the plastic tabs broke off and the screw fell off inside between the inner and outer drum. is there a way to retrieve the screws and broken plastic tabs? thanks again
1 Answer Brian, There is one of 2 ways to try to get the screw and plastic tabs out of the outer drum. The first way would be to access the hose at the bottom of the tube and try to see if they fell into the tube or if they are toward the back of the outer drum. If you are unable to get them out this way then you would need to pull the unit apart and separate the tubs to get them out. Also check the drain trap to make sure that they did not flow down to the trap. This is located on the front of the drain pump. Read More...
Barry October 08, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool Duet HT, model GHW9250MT0 Your website shows that this is the baffle for my washer but it does not look like the ones on it now. Mine are raised for the entire length. These are only raised for part of the length. Are these the correct ones? If only one is replaced will it put the machine out of balance because of the difference in shape? Thanks.
1 Answer Barry, This is the correct baffle 285976 and will work for your unit. You will want to make sure that all 3 are installed. Installing just 1 may cause the unit to get off balance. Read More...
