Sally S April 15, 2014 I'm trying to replace the baffles on my Whirlpool Duet washer. The first one slid into place after a lot of pulling and tugging. For the second one, no matter how hard I pull it won't go on. It is seated in place and I'm pulling forward, but the tabs on the baffle seem to be hitting the tabs they're supposed to slide under in the drum. I've tried to bend the tabs on the drum up a little, but the metal is so hard that it won't bend. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you solve it?
1 Answer Sally, Unfortunately there have been no issue that we are aware of with the baffles not going in. You will want to check to make sure that the baffle is fully seated and if necessary us a flat blade screw driver to lift the lip up a little so that it will slide into place. Read More...
Mike N. March 04, 2014 for Model Number 11042926202 We ordered a replacement baffle for our Kenmore Elite HE3t front load washer which is graphite in color. We received 3 white baffles and 3 screws. I attempted to insert the baffle into the washer drum and I noted that the tabs in the replacement baffle were 1/2 inch wide. The tabs on the old graphite baffle were 3/8 inch wide. The holes in the washer drum are 3/8 inch wide. So the new baffle would not fit into the smaller holes on the drum. I think we received the wrong replacement baffles. Am I right?
