Hanna October 09, 2023 for Model Number 10651123210 My ice maker stopped working, so I replaced the main ice maker (W10300022). However, the new ice maker is not working. Is it possible I need a new Harns-wire? I ask because the ice maker motor does not work even at the correct low temp and despite using a jumper wire to start the motor. Any suggestions are appreciated.
1 Answer Hanna, It is very possible that the harness will be the issue and you can do a continuity test on each of the wires to ensure that this is the issue. Read More...
Hanna October 09, 2023 How do I know if the harns-wire needs to be replaced? I replaced the entire ice maker, but still am using the old wire. Even when temp is low and even when I try to jump start the ice maker, the motor does not turn. I’m suspecting it’s the wiring, but is there a way to know for sure?
1 Answer Hanna, We will need your model number to help you find the right parts for your unit. Please post another question with all your info included thank you. Read More...
Cari June 13, 2023 for Model Number Wrs315sdhw01 Repair guy replaced ice maker assembly (kit #W10300022) on fridge model WRS315SDHW01 he said he would reuse wiring harness bc it wasn’t in box with the “kit”. Description online even says does not include arm or wire harness. For me to check and if not making ice in 24 hours to call back. 24 hours nothing made the call It’s been 2 1/2 weeks and the part has bounced all over the country via Fed ex Ok so here’s my reasoning He diagnosed needing the entire ice maker replaced and it still doesn’t work. The only reasoning I can come up with is the wire harness connections were/are bad and it was unnecessary to replace entire thing costing $$$$$. Why else would it not work? Water hooked up and turned on, arm is in correct position. ALL NEW PARTS (except wire harness) Seriously people, am I trippin or I’m thinking I got screwed over Need something to go on. Am I right or delusional? It’s not rocket science correct?
1 Answer Hello Cari, first, the freezer temp needs to be below 10 deg for the ice maker to run, also check the door switches are being pressed in when the door is closed. The original wire harness can be reused unless the inline thermal fuse has opened, it can be checked with a multimeter for continuity. Read More...

Toby Neal October 30, 2021 for Model Number EB9SHKXVQ03; Icemaker Replacement: 2181913 Hey! I installed a new ice maker (part #: 2181913) that has a different wiring harness than my fridge (EB9SHKXVQ03) accepts. I'm guessing the newer part was made for newer fridges? I was wondering if there is a wire that could connect between the newer part and the older fridge. Thanks!
1 Answer Toby, Thanks for the question!!! This is not the correct ice maker for your model. You would need D7824706Q There are notes on the part page for the correct harness and accessories that you may need. Read More...

Mikey C August 23, 2021 for Model Number WRF560SEYM01 I replaced my evaporator fan the other day. When I pulled off the back cover I found a ground wire coming from the fridge to the ice maker via the harness. It appeared to not be hooked up to anything. The harness was 4 wires to 4 wires. Is it for some other configuration?
1 Answer Mikey, The ground wire will attach to the drain trough in the back at the top behind the evaporator. Read More...
James July 12, 2021 for Model Number PTB1949GRW I have ordered a replacement icemaker (1110702A) for my refrigerator. However the harness that was supplied with the new icemaker does not fit with my fridge (D7824706Q) the connector inside my fridge has male connectors as does the replacement harness. Is this part going to work with my fridge going to the new icemaker? Everything I can find on the subject suggests I must have the original harness. Either this harness is hardwired, or i threw the old harness away when i disposed of the old icemaker some years ago.
