Chris April 14, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool Cabrio Steam WED7800XWO Dryer I have ordered a new heater element and have read that on these newer Whirlpools that you replace them from the front. That is great, yet this model does not have the "lower panel" that I have read about a few times and has a full one piece front panel from the floor to the top of the unit. Does this whole piece come off somehow or do I need to get to the heater element via the back panel (the dryer is only about two years old)? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Chris. You will release the clips and flip the top panel back. Then remove the screws and remove the front panel to access and replace the element in the unit. Read More...

Terry February 04, 2013 for Model Number MEDB850WL I have a maytag MEDB850XL dryer. Just recently my Maytag washer went out and I'm still troubleshooting after the repair guy cost me $120 to tell me it was a control board which is was not. Anyway, I just used the dryer yesterday am. I then proceeded to unplug the unit and clean the dryer metal vent from the flex vent behind the dryer all the way up to the exit trap at the roof. I used a dryer vent brush snake. All was good and when trying to dry clothes today the dryer turns and dash settings all display but the dryer won't heat. I checked the breaker and all is good. I checked the dryer vent trap and all good. I am at a loss once again with another maytag unit. HELP???
1 Answer Hello Terry. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
