Scott February 19, 2021 for Model Number WHIRLPOOL MEW5527DDW16 Door does not close flush. Think I have to replace hinges. This is a wall mount electric oven. Do I need to remove oven from wall in order to replace the hinges? How do I remove the oven door from the hinges?
1 Answer Scott, the hinges WP74008014 are going to be located inside of the door. It would be recommended that the door and hinges are inspected to identify if they have become slightly misaligned due to the hinge unseating from the mounting bracket on the oven. Read More...

Don R. December 05, 2019 for Model Number WW27430P I got the hinges for my oven door I ordered from you today and put them easily. However, I cant remove the small pins that came with the new hinges. How do you get them out?
1 Answer Hello Don, These are pressed in at the factory so they will not come out during shipping. To remove them use a pair of vise grips and wiggle them a bit. They will come out with a bit of determination but know that you would never be able to install the hinges without these in place, so it is not wasted energy. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...

William September 15, 2014 for Model Number WW30430P Hi. Our hinge spring popped last week and I would like to try to replace it myself. I see several references to the video to walk one thru this, but I cannot find it. I'd like to watch it before I attempt to remove/replace hinge myself. Can you help me find the link?
1 Answer Hello William. Sorry, there is no video. Here are the instructions from the manufacturer. " Oven Door Removal 1. Open oven door as wide as possible. 2. Place a 1/8" pin in the hole on the right and left door hinges. 3.Remove the screws from each side with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the lock plate from each side. 4. Raise the oven door up to a broil stop position. In this position, it will be against the 1/8" pin. 5. Grasp the door toward the top on both sides. Lift the door up and out to remove. Oven Door Hinge Replacement 1. Remove two screws from oven inner door panel that mount into the lower portion of oven door hinge assembly. 2. Grasp and lift oven door hinge assembly upward and slide down to disengage upper tabs from the door panel. 3. To reassemble the oven door, reverse the procedures for disassembling." Read More...
