Hello Jolius, The control board WP8546219 or the user interface WP8558753 has failed unless you have a bad connection. I would go in and check all of the connections by, one at a time, disconnecting and reconnecting all of the harnesses. If this doesn't do it, check for voltage going into the control board. If voltage is going in the board, check the output of the board. If voltage is going out also, the user interface has failed. If not, the control board has failed.

My electric dryer won't turn on. Light comes on when open door. I unplugged from wall and after hour plugged back in. Seemed to work but is continuously acting up and doing crazy stuff. Our power did "blink" just before this problem and we are not sure but the dryer 'may' have been running at the time. I unplugged from the wall, took top apart for inspection(no burnt marks), and unplugged the control console from the machine board (P3 & P4). I plugged them back in and plugged back into wall. Now the only thing that seems to work at all is the light inside when open door(I have 240v at terminal block). Where you think my problem may be?

Hi Al. There is a tech. sheet inside the unit folded in a packet. This will aid in diagnosis. If nothing is happening as you press start, and the panel lights are on, then you need to see if the relay control board is OK. It is located on the left , top side of the drum. This board is part # WP8546219. If something is burnt, then you may be able to visually identify it also. Thank You.

Glen for Model Number gew9250pw0

On the control panel the most automatic cycles show -- in the display but on two the manual cycle light will come on when switched to an automatic position (automatic normal position lights manual quick dry, automatic heavy duty lights manual touch up, all other automatic positions display --) and the manual time is displayed in the display (not --). Sometimes after shutting off power or canceling cycles several times the dryer works normally (automatic cycles now work). I removed both the control panel and control board cleaned and replaced and the cycles worked fine for about 6 loads, but the problem returned. My question – which board should I replace (control panel or control board) and if it is the control panel then which board (mine has some white buttons) of the three offered? THANK YOU!
