Mark September 07, 2011 for Model Number MFI2568AEW My ice maker stopped working all together. There is no ice in the ice maker. It dumped it's last batch and hasn't made ice since. I have replaced the water valve (it was leaking) and the filter. I have checked the temperature of the ice bin and it is around 0 degrees. The part number of the ice maker is Y13068002. Are there any test points that I can jumper to see if the ice mkare is functional. I suspect the thermostat is bad.
1 Answer Hi Mark. Is the unit level? Is the side switch in the "on" position? Is the fountain controls allowing you to select either cube or crush ? The ice - bin has to be in place. At 0 to- 2 degrees the ice maker supplies ice 3 - 6 hrs after installation. Are there any cubes stuck in the ejector arms ? The ice maker is part # W10583817. Is the fill tube frozen? 1 Answer Remove the slender side panel on the left side bottom of the IM compartment. You will have to insert and press down on the locking tab inside of the panel. Once the panel is removed, there is a tab on the bottom left side of the ice maker control, press down on the tab and pull out on the ice maker. The whole assembly will slide out of the compartment.
