Aaron James July 16, 2018 for Model Number Whirlpool W10307054 My Ice Maker has stopped producing ice. I've walked through all the troubleshooting tips on Whirlpools website. Im worried the optical sensors that indicate when the icemaker is full are malfunctioning. does this kit include the sensors in order to allow me to replace them instead of the entire ice maker?
Liz Mcg September 29, 2016 for Model Number 10641152210 Hi, I have used your wonderful website numerous times, but I was in a hurry so bought icemaker assembly from local supplier. There were numerous incorrect parts in kit for a 3-year-old Kenmore Model 10641152210. I returned it and started researching on your site and one other. The kit W10261234 looks identical to the one that i purchased originally. The installation instructions say for a Bottom Freezer IceMaker ( mine is side by side with no ice dispenser in door) the electrical connectors have wires that doesn't match with my Refrigerator., there is only 3 feet of line where I need approx 6 ft. and the plastic adapter taped to back of my fridge will not accommodate the tube and adapter. Is this the only kit available and just needs some adapting? Or is there a more precise one for this Kenmore Side by Side.?
1 Answer Liz, The icemaker that you received WPW10261234 is showing as being the correct one based on the manufacturer website but the one that may be more suited would be part number W11700559. There is a photo on the website for both of these parts so that you can compare the 2. Read More...
Ken August 17, 2014 for Model Number GSF26C5EXY00 My whirlpool ice maker this morning had my kitchen floor flooded is this repairable or do i need a new one
1 Answer Ken, The icemaker overfilling could be caused by a bad icemaker or a bad water valve. It would be more likely that the water valve did not close and the water valve is faulty as opposed to the icemaker. Read More...

Leon E March 13, 2013 for Model Number W10213155A icemaker does not make ice. The cube freeze tray does not fill with water. The line is not kinked and allows water to pass. The solenoid was replaced. It apparently is not getting energized. No broken parts in the gear assembly. Any suggestions. Optics board (has the RED..Red..Pause..red..red sequence when the flap is open as well as closed.) ????
1 Answer Leon, If the emitter board is flashing whether open or closed then you would need a new optics W11629974. When you close the flapper the light should glow solid red. Read More...
