Georgina November 14, 2021 for Model Number ARG7600L After installing part 31940001 Ignitor-B, which I purchased from you on September 29, 2021, my oven now does not even go on. Can you help me with this problem Thank you
1 Answer Georgina, It would be recommended to test to see if there is 120 Vac getting to the igniter. If there is not then the issue will be with the control. If there is power getting to the igniter then it sounds like you may have received a faulty igniter. These igniters are carbon-based and are very fragile so if it gets a small crack it could cause it to not operate. Read More...

Denny January 26, 2017 for Model Number ARG7800WW Oven quit working. Broiler and stovetop work fine. Figured it was the igniter, so got a new one and installed - easy job. Still no glow at the igniter. Checked continuity of the igniter and multimeter showed 90ohms resistance - seems OK. Hooked igniter to stove plug end to check voltage - turned oven on and voltage cycled once the relay in the control board clicked. Not sure what the multimeter should read. Didn't check current at the plug. As mentioned, relay in the control board seems to work - 'clicks' to start oven. Checked connections on the gas control safety valve, which seem OK. Not certain what to try next? Really thought it would be as simple as the igniter. Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Denny. If the ignitor is new, and there is no power coming to it, then either the wiring or the erc 31944801 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Dart August 08, 2016 for Model Number Frigidaire stove I bought and replaced a stove element receptacle for my Frigidaire stove. The marettes/wire nuts I used to join the wires burnt once I started using the element. Someone suggested using ceramic marettes, but the other marettes on the other element seem to be the usual plastic type and work fine. Should I use the ceramic ones; or is there another problem?
Nita September 26, 2014 I can't get the bottom storage door to open on my new whirlpool 5.0 gas oven. How can I get it to open?
1 Answer Nita, If the storage drawer will not open then you will want to find some way to access what is in it to get it loose so that it will open. It sounds like something that would be blocking it that will not allow it to open. Read More...
Larry March 04, 2013 for Model Number ARG7302WW Periodically the oven does not light and smell like gas then ignites and attempts to light stove full of gas. It does not leak gas all the time and top burners all work good. The stove is the only part I have issues with. Sometime there is a small explosion in oven.
1 Answer Hello Larry. It sounds like the igniter is weak and will need to be replaced. Test for 3.2-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Tony October 15, 2011 for Model Number Arg7800ww My Amana oven and broiler does not heat. The burners light just fine. The ignitor for the broiler glows when I turn it on. The oven ignitor does not glow when turn it on to bake. Do I need to change the oven ignitor? How come the broiler doesn't light if it's ignitor still glows?
1 Answer Hi Tony. Gas can be tricky, so before we get off on a tagent, replace the oven ignitor part # is WP31940001. Part received may need ceramic wire nuts part number TJMA01165-1. The broil ignitor is part # 786324. Thank You.
