Valerie Warren December 04, 2012 for Model Number model JES9900BAS -part#74011580 Good Evening, The flex knob I purchased doesn't sit flush on the infinite switch like the other knobs on my cooktop. I also have to keep removing the knob and pushing the switch in to get the knob to work. Please provide a solution to my issue. Thank you for your assistance.
1 Answer Valerie, take a good look at the new knob WP74011580 and your old knob. It's likely the small metal "D" shaped clip from your old knob is still stuck on the switch shaft. You can see the clip in the picture if you look closely. If the old knob clip is still on your switch shaft, the new knob has a clip too and they will butt up against each other and not allow the knob to go on all the way.
