1 Answer Janis, Once you have the door switch assembly WPW10275768 out of the door, and have the assembly in your hand, you'll see that each wire has a white colored plastic "box" at the end of the wire, attaching the wire to the switch. With the needle nose pliers parallel with the wire(s) place the needle nose pliers over the white plastic box, lightly squeeze the pliers together and pull towards you at the same time. 1 Answer Hi Bruce. The door latch can come without without the handle. The one without the handle means that you will need to gently compress the sides inward to get the handle inserted and locked into place. It is cheaper to get the one already installed with the handle part # WPW10130695. You need to open the inner door panel and see if the control panel back has broken "v-wedge shape" fingers that normally break off. This way they complete parts can work together correctly. Pl09 December 21, 2011 for Model Number JDB2100AWW Our dishwasher door will latch closed with some difficulty (have to press in the middle of the door right where the latch is); however the interlock does not work. The dishwasher will start and run irregardless of whether the door is open or closed. I suspect a switch but wondering if there is more too it since the latching seems iffy. 1 Answer Hi PL09. Yes, you will need to ohm out the switches if it runs with or without the door switch open or closed. This is obvious for a water overflow on the floor and if someone trys to get into a "live " 120 vac circuit. You need to open the lower kick plate and see if all 4-legs are touching the ground. Use the installation guide included with your use and care manual to re-level the unit. Do this by removing the lower rack. Then use a torpedo level front to back and side to side on the inside of the tub to adjust the unit. This greatly affects the door latch. Think of the unit fully loaded, hot water and the tub will "relax " and twist slightly if the legs are not down.This mis aligns the front door because it is separate from the tub. Then the door switch/latch will break. So this is important. It is part # WPW10275768. Dishwasher Door Latch - Includes latch body and switches. Does not include the handle.
