Richard December 15, 2022 for Model Number WFW9400SW04 My door latch is staying latched and want release when you cancel the cycle. Is this the door latch or something from the master control board causing it?
John August 26, 2021 for Model Number MHWE300VW13 went to start washer, code F22 came up showing locking mechanism. How often is it the locking mechanism as opposed to a different problem causing the code or could I order the lock and that solve the problem?
1 Answer John, it would be recommended that the door is inspected to ensure it is able to shut fully in place so that the lock strike can go into the lock properly. If this checks good, the next step would be to inspect the wiring to ensure a wire is not pinched, broken, or loose at a connection. The most likely failure after this would be the lock assembly WP8183270 while the least likely would be the main control WPW10271604. Read More...
Steve May 08, 2021 for Model Number MHW7000AW0 Washing machine won't start, we hear a click when pushing start button but machine will not start. Error code found was F05E02 - does the door latch assembly need to be replaced?
1 Answer Steve, The door lock assembly would be the most likely cause for this issue. You can test the door lock assembly using the tech sheet inside the unit by going to the door lock test on page 16. Read More...
Steve January 23, 2021 for Model Number MHWE950WW02 Machine will not turn on... no lights or indicators at all. Power source has been checked and is fine. My question is, if the door latch is faulty will it prevent the machine from powering on? I know how to test the latch if I remove it but if it does not interrupt the power if its faulty then I would assume i should be checking the main control panel. Its a stackable unit so it is easier to access the door latch and check before removing the dryer to take the top panel off. Thanks.
1 Answer Steve, The door latch assembly will have no effect on the display working. This would either be a control panel or a main control board. Read More...
Kevin May 30, 2019 for Model Number WFW9200SQ00 When i push the POWER button, all the light come on like normal. BUT the wash cycle selector button flashes. If you push the START button the machine just beeps. After ~1 min the washer beeps and error code F 70 appears.
1 Answer Kevin, the error F70 is going to indicate a communication issue from the main control WP8183258 to the user interface W10319816. You will want to check the wiring to ensure that the wires are securely in place. If they are, then if the drum does not rotate when engaged then the main control has failed. Read More...
Adam November 07, 2017 for Model Number MHW6000XW2 When pressing the start button the unit makes a faint beep and does not turn on? Would this most likely be a faulty door switch? According to the manual, it says the door is not closed, we looked for obstructions and found none. Thanks
Donnie September 11, 2017 for Model Number WFW94HEAW0 Getting error code F06 E01 Book says to start by checking door latch switch. Will not start cycle and I have tpo manually unlock door by pulling tab on switch. How do I test the switch?
1 Answer Hello Donnie. If you look on page 16 of the book, you will see where the testing information is for the lock assembly. You will use a meter and perform these test and if the lock is good, then check the harness and board. Thank you. Read More...

Josh July 26, 2017 for Model Number MHW6000AW0 When I attempt to start the wash cycle, I hear a clicking noise and then the wash time begins blinking. Wash cycle never begins. I thought something might be wrong with the door latch lock mechanism, so I bought and installed a new door latch lock. However, I'm still running into the same issue. I ran the washer in diagnostic mode and it locked the door and ran through all the steps without an issue. So this suggests the door lock is working.
1 Answer Hello Josh, You should put the unit into the diagnostic mode and pull the fault codes. If no fault codes are present, replace the control board W10445518. Read More...
