Gary Birk August 28, 2016 for Model Number WFW9750WW00 Whirlpool Front loader Duet Washer: Clothes are still damp at the end of the cycle. Running extra spin cycles doesn't seem to help. It has a F22 door lock error code. Could this be causing the damp clothes problem? I've checked the motor, pump, pulley and can't find anything else obviously wrong.
1 Answer Gary, Yes the door latch assembly would most likely be the cause for the clothes being damp at the end of the cycle. If the door is not engaging the spin enable switch inside of it then it will cause the unit to not spin properly and cause the clothes to be damp. You will want to replace the door latch assembly. Steve July 01, 2016 for Model Number wfw9200sq02 I don't get an error code but after the start button has been pushed the power intermittently goes off and on.
1 Answer Steve, You will want to check the incoming power supply for voltage drops when the unit is running. If there is no voltage drop then the main control board would likely be the issue. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Jaimane. COMMUNICATION ERROR UI TO CCU. Communication between Central Control Unit (CCU) and User Interface (UI) has not been detected. Possible Causes • Verify continuity in cable between CCU (UI7) and UI (C2). Check AC and DC supplies. Read More...
Connie February 25, 2016 for Model Number MHW4200BW1 My washer makes a clicking sound ( about 6 times) after I shut the door and hit the start button. Then it displays an error E02 and F05. What is the problem?
1 Answer Connie, The F5 E2 error code is a door lock error. At the start of the cycle, the washer attempts to lock the door 6 times which is the clicking you hear. You will want to verify that the wire harness connectors are fully inserted at the door lock and and the control board. Make sure that the door can close easily and that clothes are not pushing out on the door. Make sure that the strike is good and is not misaligned. If this checks ok then access the tech sheet inside the unit and do the door lock test number 4 on page 16 of the tech sheet. Read More...
Sam E January 20, 2016 for Model Number wfw9500TC01 Bought washer from previous owner who said repairman told him he needed a new "control board." He did not know the error code. I plugged in, closed the door (no clothes in washer), powered on, hit start button. The red LED door lock button does not come on and F22 code appears. I have to pull the release cable to open the door. I hold in the "push button" with door open and hit start. Six faint clicks, no red LED, then F22. I pulled the control board and there are no apparent bad caps. Is the door lock part #8183270 next step to try?
1 Answer Hello Sam. Possible Causes/Procedure Door lock mechanism is broken or removed from door. Door switch/lock unit failure. Unplug washer or disconnect power. Check door switch/lock unit. Check the wire harness connections to the door switch/lock unit and Central Control Unit (CCU). If door lock is new, replace the CCU. Read More...
Marc October 27, 2015 for Model Number wfw86hebw1 Whirlpool washer duet to codes e03 and f08 is it the door lock ?
1 Answer Hello Marc. The overflow condition occurs if there is too much water or foam in the washer. If overflow occurs, the valves are closed and the drain pump switches on for at least 30 seconds. If the cycle is running, the washer will repeat this process 4 times before displaying the error code. Once the error code is displayed, the cycle is terminated and all water is pumped out. This routine will also be active during standby mode, except that the washer will drain until the tub is empty. Possible Causes • Check inlet valves for proper shutoff. • Verify that drain hose is not plugged or kinked. • Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects. • Check connections from tub to air trap, air trap to pressure hose, and pressure hose to water level sensor. Is pressure hose pinched, kinked, plugged, or leaking air? Read More...
Bruce October 22, 2015 for Model Number Wfw72hedw Washing code f5e3? Door clicks on and off way more than should. Will this switch fit my model?
1 Answer Hello Bruce. At the start of a cycle, the washer attempts to unlock the door 6 times. The error code is saved in memory as F5E3. Verify that harness connectors are fully inserted in ACU and door lock. Verify door latch is secured to front panel. Check for misaligned, broken, or over-tightened door latch. WPW10443885 is the door lock for the unit. Read More...

Lemon March 07, 2015 for Model Number WFW72HEDW The pump is running but nothing is happening. I think the water was not turned on. Turned on water, unplugged machine and tried to reset with no results. No codes only " flashing red light" on door locked lights up and pump continues to run. Turned off unplugged waited 10 minutes. Same result. I think I need to manually unlock door? How? Please help!
1 Answer Lemon, to manually unlock the door. Unplug washer or disconnect power. Remove the top washer panel. Reach down along the inside of the front (between tub and ACU) and locate the top of the door switch/lock assembly. Located on the top of the door switch/lock assembly is a ring-shaped tab Gently pull the tab upward about ¼" (6 mm) or until a click is heard. The door may be opened. Then you'll need to check the water level switch and drain pump for proper circuits and operation. Read More...
Grinch February 05, 2015 for Model Number WFW94HEXW2 My washer is throwing F6/E1 , F6 E2 (sometimes). Done majority of the tests that corresponds to the isolating a fault. When running the diagnostics mode it will not go beyond C00. The actuator engages the doorlock and I can hear that the CCU relay keeps opening and closing. I'm measuring a +5Vdc across the MCU comm terminals, etc. But the relay opening and closing multiple times is what concerns me. I will say that when my wife had called letting me know what happened and arrived I could smell a faint odor of something "frying" in the CCU. Before taking the plunge just based on odor I'd like to think the relay opening and closing would be the better isolation that it may have become faulty which leaves me with 2 options. Find the item and resolder or purchase a new CCU.
1 Answer Hello Grinch, The possibility of finding a poor solder connection on the board is remote. It is more likely that the EEPROM or one of the capacitors on the board has failed. Since the controls are coated with a moisture resistance material, it is normally not possible to solder on these boards. From the description, it sounds like you will have to replace the CCU W10427967. Read More...
