John March 20, 2013 for Model Number GHW9100LW1 My washing machine has power but won't start any cycle. Would a faulty door switch cause this problem?
1 Answer Hello John. If the door switch is bad, it will prevent the unit from working, but you should get an error code. Check the water valves and make sure they are good and if so, you may need to replace the user interface on the unit. Read More...
Christie February 17, 2013 for Model Number GHW9400PLO AT FIRST I WAS GETTING DL FAILURE I UNLOCKED IT MANUALLY. I CONTUNUED TO USE THE MACHINE AND THIS WOULD HAPPEN NOW AND THEN. I'M GETTING F11 AND THE MACHINE STOPS WORKING DURING THE CYCLE. DO YOU THINK I NEED A DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY OR IS IT MORE THAN THAT?
1 Answer Hello Christie, The F11 error code indicates a MCU (Motor Control Unit) error. You will want to check to make sure that all shipping bolts and spacers have been removed. Check to make sure that washer is on a designated circuit. Other devices on the smae circuit can create line noise and cause this issue. Unplug unit and check the neutral feed to the MCU and CCU (Central Control Unit) from the Ac line filter. Check all wire harness connections between the motor and MCU and MCU to CCU for broken or wires detached from connector. Make sure that all connectors are fully seated. Plug unit back in and verify the unit operation by running diagnostics. After the diagnostics test has finished unplug washer and wait 15 seconds. Read More...

Michael N. January 05, 2013 for Model Number WF218ANW I have a dS error code on my washer. I believe it needs a new door switch assembly and a latch. Can you point me to the correct part numbers? Thank You.
1 Answer Hello Michael, The DS indicates that tthe door is detected open when trying to lock the door. You will want to check the door switch DC64-00519B and latch DC66-00326A alignment. Check the latch for damage. Check the wiring harness to the latch. Check the door switch. If the door switch is faulty then replace. If all checks ok then replace main PCB DC92-00200C. Read More...
Larry January 03, 2013 for Model Number Asko Washer - Model # W6021 Washer has stopped working. Power light is on. Door closes properly and will open when the door button is pressed. When I press the start button, I hear a single click a second or two later and then nothing else happens. Any trouble shooting suggestions would be much appreciated. Thx.
1 Answer Hello Larry, I'm sorry but we have no information on the Asko line of appliances. I have serviced them in the past and if I were servicing this machine, I would check the door switch, the pressure switch, and the water inlet valve first. Other than the basic troubleshooting technique I have learned from my field experience, we can access no other information for you. I apologize and would look inside the unit for the wiring diagram so I would have a "map" to follow in pursuit of the issue. Post an e-mail address and I can send you what little information I have with illustrations, (cannot be posted in this format). Read More...
