Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Appliance Light Bulb (Part Number: OEM10821660)

Marj, the oven ignitor would need to be tested with a multimeter during the time of failure to identify if it is receiving 120VAC. If it is not receiving voltage and the oven has not been heated up, the next step would be to turn the unit off and unplug the power cord so that the temperature sensor can be tested for resistance. The sensor should read 1100 Ohms of resistance. If the sensor tested good and the ignitor was not receiving voltage, the main control would be the cause of failure. For the most accurate part information, there should be a second set of letters and numbers on the model tag that would be necessary for part identification.
