Kljalkjld October 29, 2018 for Model Number WRT138FZDM Can I replace this incandescent bulb with an LED bulb? Do they make an LED version? For 18.2 Whirlpool Top-Freezer Refrigerator WRT138FZDM ?
1 Answer Kljalkjid, As of now, no the manufacturer does not produce an LED appliance bulb for your refrigerator. The 8009 / 2311792 Bulb, Light is a 40 watt incandescent appliance bulb, has a standard socket base, which is commonly used on many refrigerators and ranges. Under usual conditions the light bulb isn't illuminated for very long periods, and wouldn't constitute a need for a low wattage LED bulb. We would think you could find a reasonable LED light bulb replacement at the local hardware store, home improvement center or Department store(Walmart, Target, etc.) if you prefer. Sioux R August 13, 2018 for Model Number JFC2089HES The 40 watt light bulbs (2) in my refrigerator are so darn hot....I was wondering if there were cooler bulbs to use in that particular model? Would keep the fridge cooler. Thanks
