Sam May 02, 2017 for Model Number JTP15B0A1BB I have been having lately to change this wall oven appliance lights frequently (in less than two months from its replacement). I have purchased I believe the right appliance bulb from Home depot which is rated at 40W and installed accordingly. Any ideas why it is burning out so frequently. We normally don't leave the light on for any extended period of time or run the oven at extremely high temperatures. Appreciate any help u can offer.
1 Answer Sam, It would be suggested to check to make sure that there is not a voltage issue to the light bulb. Also make sure that the light is tight and make sure that there is no loose connection at the socket. Read More...
Tris March 27, 2017 for Model Number RS663V Hi. The freezer light has gone in my Westinghouse Fridge-Freezer. You have a replacement lightbulb in stock. Can I use that bulb in either the freezer section or is it just for the fridge section? Do I need a different lightbulb in the freezer section? I've never had to change one before and want to make sure I get the right part. Cheers!
1 Answer Tris, This bulb should be able to be used in either the refrigerator or the freezer section of the unit. Read More...

1 Answer John, Check the oven light receptacle, make sure it's not too loose in the oven cavity. make sure you use a brass based 40 watt appliance bulb or the 8009 light bulb, apply a thin coat of dielectric grease to the threads of the bulb, and the glass lens cover, and dont overtighten the bulb in the receptacle. Lee K November 12, 2016 for Model Number MTB2156DE* Maytag A bulb in the refrigerator has burned out. The bulb is protected by a plastic cage which does not seem to be removable. I have been able to remove the bulb but screwing in a new one has been a challenge. It seems to cross thread every time. The bulb is a GE 40 w appliance bulb. Is the cage removable for easy access to the socket or do I need an OE bulb?
