Marcy, Apparently this is the cooktop surface light bulb. You'll need part number 8206232A Light Bulb. To replace it , you first want to remove power to the microwave/ or unplug the power cord from the outlet. Remove the one(1) phillips head screw holding the glass and cover to the bottom panel, Be careful, don't let the glass fall out and or break. Unscrew the light bulb(turn counterclockwise) and remove the bulb. Reverse the procedure and test the light for operation.

Sharon for Model Number WMH1162XVQ-1

The light under the mircowave isn't working. I've replaced the bulb, but the light still doesn't work. It doesn't work on high or low beam. We've had storms in our area lately and we've had power surges. I'm afraid the power surges has probably damaged the socket or the wiring for the light. Could there be a fuse that needs to be replaced or what could be the problem. I use the light everyday when cooking and I use the low beam at night as a night light in the kitchen. Really hoping it can be fixed. Please help.

Sharon, Sorry, but no there is no fuse in the hood light circuit. Since everything else seems to be working, and with the storms you mentioned, you most likely have an issue with the relays on the control board WPW10211457 or the keypad assembly W10211460. Thanks
