1 Answer Dan, Yes you have the correcrt couplig part number, for your blender, Heres some information to help you through the repair " Tools needed: Large flat bladed screwdriver NOTE: The black main drive coupler attaches to the motor shaft using left hand threads. Turning clockwise to remove; and counter clockwise to install. 1. Unplug blender. 2. With the blender facing you, insert a flat blade screw driver between the black drive coupler and the blender housing: approximately 1/2 inch. 3. Raise up on the screw driver; this will bend the drive coupler up. Turn the coupler approximately 1/4 turn and repeat raising the screw driver higher each time. Continue this until the coupler comes off the motor shaft. This is usually accomplished in 3 or 4 attempts. 4. Before installing the new coupler check the threads of the blender motor shaft and remove any metal shavings left from the removal of the old coupler. Place the new coupler on the motor shaft and turn counter clockwise until tight . During normal operation the blender drive coupler is constantly kept tight; therefore it is not necessary to tighten more than hand tight." Thanks and Good Luck Read More...

Jim September 11, 2011 for Model Number KSB5OB3 I obtained the drive coupling (AP2930430) recommended for Kitchenaid blenders. It appears to be significantly different from the one that was factory installed on my Kitchenaid KSB5OB3 blender, which has the rubber teeth inserted on a metal cup that screws onto the drive. Is a replacement for this coupling available? Thanks!
