Stacy, Unfortunately, the console which is what you need is no longer available. The console houses the membrane that connects the keypads to the control.

My oven shows "panel locked". I've tried to unlock it (door open, pressing #3 for 5 sec) but nothing happens. If I unplug the unit, it looks like it goes into normal boot sequence, then ends with "panel locked" light again. No keys work. No beeps, nothing. Do I replace the touch panel or the control panel? Also, it appears that the replacement control panel 8184718 (AP3137864) is 1 combined piece, where the original shows 2 in the schematic 9754378 (AP3085940 - discontinued) Am I seeing this correctly?

Hello CJ. You will need to replace the control panel 9754341CB it sounds like. The white is discontinued. They only offer the black.

My gas range is about 12 years old. With the oven off and no one pressing the keys on the console, the oven displayed a temperature setting (300F) while beeping intermittently, and then displayed an F2:E0 code. The panel could not be reset by pressing any key. Resetting the circuit breaker for the range temporarily fixed the problem, but several hours later the problem reoccurred. This happened for several cycles until I opened up the console, cleaned the panel and checked the circuit board (no obvious problems noted.) When I put the console/computer assembly back on the range, the oven now intermittently beeps while displaying an "oven on" time, and the oven is now inoperative; will not accept any inputs. Should I replace the console (glass keypad assembly) or the computer (circuit board)?

David, The F2E3 error code means that there was a keypad spill. Either the keypad was held down too long or keyboard short or there was a spill on the keypad switch surface. Clean the control keypad good and if this does not correct then replace the keypad.

Hello Duane, This is usually controlled by the control board 9754383 and the alarm is usually located on this board also.

I have a Kitchen Aid stovetop oven Model # KGST307HBS6. The oven goes out after reaching the desired temperature in 10 or 15 minutes and displays the code F1-E3 .We try to restart the oven and it won't restart but displays code F2-E3. We recently replaced the oven igniter and the Top glass console and it worked a couple of times then stopped working again. Can this oven be repaired? Do you think replacing the Micro Computer might be necessary. Any professional advice would be greatly appreciated ! Thank You !

Andy, The F1 E3 error code is an indication that there is a misconfiguration on the control board. With this issue and the F2 e3 error code the issue would most likely be caused by the main control board.

The electronics on our range are not working anymore. The error code is typically F2:E1 but sometimes also F2:E3. Then it works again for a couple of days, sometimes beeps as if someone was pressing keys, then fails again. I disconnected the keyboard, cleaned contacts, seems to make no difference. I see no cracks or anything else suspicious in the keyboard. The $300 question is whether I should replace the electronics or the keyboard/console assembly.

1 Answer

Thorsten, The issue would be in the Keypad. The F2E1 is a cancel key error and you would check the connection, which has been done. There for recommends replacement of the console glass. The f2e3 is a keypad spill error which means that the key was held down too long or the keyboard shorted. The part number for the glass is 9754341CB. This is a black part which is what the manufacturer subbed the part to.

Hello Linda. Cancel key invalid. You will need to replace the control panel on the unit if the key is bad.

Ellen, The basic post information would indicate you have several inoperative keypad circuits and will need to replace the "Glass Console Assembly" 9751895. Without a proper or complete model number, we cannot be sure of which part you actually need.
