Sam February 14, 2026 for Model Number 10651713411 I have had several LED modules in my fridge/freezer either completely off or slightly dim. About 5 total are not working. Concerned that it might be a problem with the LED power supply, I swapped a working one and non working one. The broken one started working and the working one broke when swapping locations. Is it possible the power supply went out? Or could one broken LED module be affecting the rest of them? I'm trying to determine if I should order replacement LED modules but I'm concerned it might not fix the problem if the issue is the power going to the LED modules. But maybe replacing all 5 will fix the issue? I don't think they all went out at once. Any help here would be appreciated.
1 Answer Hello Sam, thank you for reaching out to AppliancePartsPros.comIt is unlikely to be the LED supply board, usually it is just a bad LED module or 2. The LEDs are wired in series and this model has 3 separate series of LEDs, so if 1 LED in a series goes out the other will appear very dim or go out as well. The easiest way to test is to take a jumper wire and jump out each individual LED in a series that have gone dark until you find the bad one, usually the culprit is in the freezer section but could be in the fridge section.The manufacturer who built this model for Kenmore had a known issue with this and updated the LED modules to help take care of the issue. You can no longer get the individual LED modules, they come as a kit W11683241. This kit has 12 LEDs in it and your model only uses 10, but the manufacturer recommends to replace all of the LEDs at the same time to update them and prevent this issue from returning. Read More...
Greg January 24, 2025 for Model Number Kenmore 106.51763510 The LED light replacement kit appears to have the wrong connector. My original lamps have black connectors like the ones shown on your video about how to replace one. Please let me know if there is lamp or kit for sale with the correct connectors.

1 Answer Paul, the freezer light WPW10515057 would be the likely cause of failure. This can be tested by taping the freezer door switch down and removing the light. Once the light has been disconnected, a jumper wire can be placed into the wire connection of the freezer and the refrigerator door opened. Mike July 24, 2022 for Model Number WRX988SIBM01 the freezer will periodically shut off and the temperature will reach room temperature. but the refrigerator will still be working fine.... the only way i can get the freezer to come back on is to adjust the temperature on the control board.

1 Answer Anwar, as all lights are illuminating, the main LED module W11043011 at the top of the refrigerator would need to be tested. There should be 120VAC from the tan/yellow wire to the red/orange wire and when the door is open, the two other wires should show 12VDC when tested.
