Ken Ross April 13, 2017 for Model Number KEBS208DBL8 We have 2 Black Kitchenaid Superba built in wall ovens stacked one on top of the other, model number KEBS208DBL8. We are replacing all of the other appliances in our kitchen with stainless steel appliances. The ovens still work and we'd prefer not to replace them. I am wondering whether I can replace the existing black outer door glass oven (part number AP6014025) with a new stainless outer door panel (part number AP5183444) to give the ovens a stainless look instead of black. The pictures of these 2 parts look like the handle screw holes may be in different places on these 2 different parts. If so, then I guess this swap will not work. Please let me know if you think these parts might be interchangeable so I can give the old black oven a new stainless steel look.
1 Answer Ken, The part number for the door glass on this unit in stainless would be 9760629 which unfortunately has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no replacement available. Read More...

Arthur G March 22, 2017 for Model Number KEMC308KSS04 How do I install the front stainless steel portion to existing oven front. Do I take the the hinged oven door off to fixate front on? How do I take off the range front? Lee
1 Answer Arthur, You will want to open the door all the way and there will be a hole on the hinge that you will want to put a allen wrench or a screwdriver in. You will then close the door til it stops and then push on the door and then lift off. Once you do this lay the door on the floor and remove the lower trim piece to be able to replace the glass. Dan March 10, 2017 for Model Number KEBC208KSS03 I took the oven door apart to tighten a loose handle. When I tightened the loose screws, the glass cracked. I need to purchase this new door assembly but how do I insure that reinstalling the door handle won't result in the same problem? I really don't understand how the glass cracked so easily. Are the screws pressing directly against the glass in a new door?
1 Answer Dan, It is strange that the glass broke but the part number needed would be W10401225. As for the screw, it does not show anything between the glass and the screw head but would likely be a washer or bracket. Read More...
Nick February 19, 2017 for Model Number KEBC207KSS05 I have a SS built in oven from KitchenAid. The stainless steel skin is dented. Can I simply purchase a new SS skin and not the whole door/glass assembly which is expensive?
Lisa February 06, 2017 for Model Number KEBC107KSS05 Hi, we have not had the door panel fail, only the outer piece of glass. Can I buy ONLY the glass piece that fits inside this panel?
1 Answer Lisa, Unfortunately getting the door panel W10401225 is the only way to get the outer door glass. Read More...
Ylee January 26, 2017 for Model Number KitchenAid KEBS208DSS11 I ordered a new oven door panel. Is there a guide that can walk me through the process of switching the old one for the new one?
1 Answer Hello Ylee. To change the glass in an oven door, you will need to determine how to remove the door on the model number you are working on. If you open the door to the first stopping point, some oven doors will lift off the unit in this position. On other models, you will see clips on the back of the hinge toward the opening where the hinge enters the range. If yours is like this, you will open the door all the way open, then pull the clips down until they stop and lock in place. Then close the door to the stopping point and lift the door off the range. If you door does not lift off, and it does not have the clips, then you will open the door all the way open. You will see a hole in the hinge at the bottom of the door. You will insert a pin or nail into that hole and close the door to the stopping point. Then you can lift the door off the unit. Once the door is removed, you will lay it on a soft surface and disassemble the door. Pay attention and make notes if needed for reassembly of the oven door. Once you have replaced the door glass, you will reinstall the oven door back onto the range in reverse order of the way you removed it. Read More...
