Ed March 10, 2021 for Model Number ETW4400WQ0 Moved machine to new house. Was working fine, now it knocks in spin cycle. I removed housing, all springs connected and fine. Problem is with the small 'fins' on the underside of the outer tub. They seem to be caught on the black metal plate underneath. Literally one fin is bending as it sits on the black plate. Tried moving the tub assembly around, one fin fit better then a different one got caught. Any advice or vids? I watched the vid on outer tub replacement, helpful, and used to troubleshoot, but I can't find any info on a problem with the fins running into the black metal. These are the under fins, not side tabs for holding springs. Give thanks,
1 Answer Ed, Try to tilt the unit back and see if you can get the tub released from the tabs that you are referring to. This would be the only way to take care of this issue. Read More...
Christian January 16, 2020 for Model Number LSQ7030LQ0 Will this outer tub be in stock again soon? If not, can it be repaired with JB Weld?
1 Answer Christian, we wouldn't expect JB Weld to be a permanent repair for an outer tub on a washer. The 63849 / 63849 W10135425 Washer plastic outer tub is out of stock but can be ordered from the manufacturer. This will add a few days to the delivery time, once you place the order. (Shipping oversized parts may require additional charges. This part is a special order item and cannot be returned or backordered). Thanks, Read More...
Jim December 09, 2016 for Model Number mvwc425bw1 I watched your video on replacing the outer plastic tub and was very helpful. The problem is that I have 4 lines with springs on them, attached to the bottom of the plastic tub and they run to each corner into the top of the machine. Plus all of the rest of the mechanisms are screwed into the bottom of the plastic tub. Do you have any videos that have this particular setup available? Please help. Thanks
1 Answer Jim, Unfortunately there are no videos for replacing the suspension rods W10780044. They should just lift off the corners of the cabinet and then slide out from the bottom of the tub. Read More...

John November 03, 2015 for Model Number Kenmore 110.29422800 Hi, I have a Kenmore top-loading washing machine, model number 110.29422800. I need a new outer tub, the gasket for it and the correct spanner wrench for the job. Entering that number gives me part #AP3019979 for the tub, part #AP5983753 for the gasket and part #AP4503397 for the wrench. I just want to confirm if that sounds right for the parts before I purchase. The machine is about 7 years old. Thanks for any info.
1 Answer John, Yes the parts that you have listed would be the correct parts for the replacement of the tub. Read More...
Debi March 24, 2015 for Model Number 11026892690 The outside tub center gasket was leaking. We replaced it. We also to be on the safe side replaced the 3 small springs under the washer and the counter balance spring in the back. We cleaned up the tubs and reinstalled according to the video. (Awesome job on the video). Now every time it goes into a spin the tub begins knocking like it is out of balance. I tried a spin cycle without any thing inside and it does the same thing. If I manually move the inside tub front to back it only moves about 1/2 inch before it "Bottoms out". What could be wrong or what could I have missed when I reassembled the tub and spring assemblies????
1 Answer Debi, You will want to make sure that you connected the counterbalance spring in the correct place but you will also want to check the pads on the skate plate. It sounds like the pads may be bad which would cause this type of knocking. Read More...

Charlie February 24, 2014 for Model Number etw4400wq1 Estate washer stops the washer and makes a popping sound, like it stops in emergency mode. Is this normal?
1 Answer Hello Charlie, This sounds like the motor is getting 120Vac from two sources at the same time. This can be due to a stuck contacts in the timer WPW10199989, a bad harness W10307145, or a shorted motor winding WP661600. If ordering the motor, there is a manufacturers' note to order the spring WPW10250667 also. This is the counterbalance spring to upright the spinner assembly after the spin cycle. Read More...
