Hello Larry, Your defrost drain is clogged and needs to be cleaned out. Remove the rear cover of the freezer compartment and clean out all the ice below the evaporator. Once this is cleaned out you will have to use hot water to get the little bit of ice that will be in the drain hole. Once this has been cleaned out you will need to try to snake out the tubing to get any debris out of the drain.

My freezer leaks water somewhere, and or it freezes the the walls inside the freezer with ice build up at the bottom of freezer and around the door of the ice maker. what causes this to happen. Behind the panel in the freezer ice built up you cant see it but it was pushing the tray out and the door would not shut. I defrosted the whole refrigerator to let all ice hidden or visible to melt. Should I plug it back in now or do I need to change a part like the regulator? What does the regulator look like and where can I find it in the panel?

Hello Donna. You will need to check and see if the icemaker is overfilling. If so, you could have a bad water valve 61005626 or icemaker D7824706Q. Check and make sure the water valve is shutting off when the power going to it from the icemaker stops. If the water continues to run, you will need to replace the water valve. If the icemaker overflows and is sending power to the water valve, you will need to replace the icemaker. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps.http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Is wiring diagram incorrect? Original relay, #2 terminal is 3/16 and was connected to a two line orange wire. The #3 terminal, original, is 1/4 and had the white connected. On replacement: #2 with adapter takes the 1/4(on replacement) down to 3/16 yet schematic says to attach #2 to white, which is a 1/4inch fitting. Then it says to attach #3 to OR or WH. ORANGE ONLY FITS 3/16 terminal which is #2 with the adapter, which would match the original wiring, not the way the directions for the replacement say. This schematic was written 3/30/2007. It can't be wired this way unless I replace the terminals which I don't want to do, I think the schematic was written incorrectly, or what am I not getting? Thanks, I want to hook this up

1 Answer

Hello Roc. You will need to hook up the relay the same way the old one was on your refrigerator. This is a universal kit and was made for many models. If you install it like it was on yours, then it should work ok. Hope this helps.

Hello Yo. If the relay overload is bad, it will cause the compressor to click. Hope this helps.
