Abraxa August 14, 2014 for Model Number MDB7809AWM1 Unit failed suddenly, initially with lights on left of panel only, after resetting breaker no more lights at all. Tried replacing thermo fuse in panel no help. Tried replacing W10254992 with new W10298356 cntrl bd no help either though with close inspection I note that wash modification buttons (options) will light on press, didn't check this with original cnrtler so don't know if this is a change. Where to next? Logically the panel itself I guess but could use some inside knowledge at this point, straight module swapping is going to surpass the units value soon. Have owned it from new though. Thanks,
1 Answer Hello Abraxa. Based on the information you provided, you will need to order and replace the control panel on the unit. Also, check for bad door switches. Read More...
C Earle July 03, 2014 for Model Number MDB7749AWM1 My dishwasher's control panel stopped working. At first I would have to push the buttons several time and sometimes it would work and it finally died. The part listed shows the panel. Does it include computer part that will resolve it ? AND CAN I do this repair or should I call a repair tech. ?
1 Answer C. Earle, The control panel has the membrane switch which would cause the key to not work. The control board that the membrane switch connects to will not come with the panel. Read More...
Moltigattineri November 24, 2012 for Model Number MDB7749AWM1 My Maytag Dishwasher Model MDB7749AWM1 will not start. All the wash cycles and drying cycles that I touch light up correctly, however, the START and DRAIN/CANCEL do not light up or activate upon touching them. I removed and replaced the door latch because it would not latch shut due to a small plastic part broke. I replaced the latch with an OEM Door Latch Replacement Kit and the interlock switch included in this kit was replaced. That did not solve the problem. I then replaced and installed the OEM Bi-Metal Thermal Cutoff and that did not make the start and drain/cancel buttons light up or act upon touch. I have checked the floater and it is clean as a whistle. Is it possible that it could be the control panel since the start, does anyone have any suggestions short of calling in a repair technician? Thank you in advance to any suggestions, Marlene
1 Answer Hello Moltigattineri, This does sound like a bad control panel. I tried to look up the proper part number for you, however, the model number you listed doesn't come up as valid. If you could re-post after verifying the model number, we can get the part number for you.
