Dave for Model Number MDB6601AWQ

My dishwasher stopped working. When you select a wash cycle and close door the minutes for selected cycle flashes and I press start but it will not work. A couple weeks ago we had a short power outage and the problem began. I unplugged everything from the control board and left it till next day, plugged all back in and it began working. Now same problem but tried all the same things but nothing is working, minutes just keep flashing but start button will not work. Any suggestions on what it could be?

Dave, Based off the description it sounds like the keypad has a shorted start button not allowing contact to be made and you would need to replace the control panel 6-919822.

Hello Scott, You would want to check to make sure that the key is not stuck. Disconnect power to unit for approximately 30 minutes to allow to reset. Upon reconnecting power if the unit continues to only have auto wash on then you would need to replace the membrane switch 6-919805. As far as the control boards go the reason for the different part numbers is due to series change. If the first 2 digits of the serial number are before 33 then you would use control board part number 12002709 If it has 33 or higher then part number WPW10218825 is the control board you would need.
