Larry B March 22, 2012 for Model Number mdb7601awq Control panel is not showing a complete digit and the machine is not starting on wash cycles. I tried a rinse cycle and it worked but when finished it tried to go to a short cycle. It appears that the control panel is bad, I think it needs a control panel PN ap4364442. What do you think and what is the level of difficulty to install? I am capable of doing most repairs. I installed a new latch handle a short while ago. Thanks Larry b

Paul February 13, 2012 for Model Number MDB9600AWS I have a followup to the question I asked last week. This past weekend it would not let me select Light Wash (like it usually only will from my previous question), but it would let me select AutoWash. Then ALL the options lit up but would not allow me to DESELECT anything. After leaving it alone it would finally let me choose Light Wash like before. Then last night, it would select ANYTHING for quite some time. Finally it let me select Light Wash. Still think its the control panel?
1 Answer Hello Paul. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel 6-919825 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
Paul February 08, 2012 for Model Number MDB9600AWS For some time we have only been able to select Light Wash and Heated Dry. It will not allow selection of any other cycle. Also, sometimes it will flash 9 on the front and rinse only on the keypad. We have to leave it alone before it will allow us to select Light Wash. Also, a couple of times recently the door has not opened and the dishes are not as clean as before. Control Panel or Control Board or both?
1 Answer Hello Paul. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel 6-919825 may repair the issues with the unit. Hope this helps. Read More...
Thomas January 22, 2012 for Model Number MDB7601AWS I was able to finally get to the "schematic/test sheet" located behind the toe kick-had to remove the 'upper toe kick' panel it was behind there. I am making an assumption here that for both the "Field Service Test & Manual Function Test" the dishwasher is plugged in to 110VAC. I performed both test using the test procedures per the test sheet. When I perform the test by selecting the 'Heated Dry' 5 or 6 times depending on whether the Manual Function Test or Field Service Test & pressing the 'Start' button - The dishwasher starts up with 2H displayed on the front display. No '88' was displayed for the 'Field Service Test' no indicator lights were illuminated for both test per sheet. Model #MDB7601AWS Serial #10950667GN What other test can I perform? Your assumption it is the Control Panel (touchpad) & not the control board still stand? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Thomas. Yes, if the buttons will not let you perform the field test, then the control panel 6-919825 is bad in the unit. Hope this helps. Read More...
Thomas January 15, 2012 for Model Number MDB7601AWS The only indicator that is lit on the "touchpad" is the 'auto clean' and the indicators and buttons on the front can be selected. I cannot select any other buttons on the top of the panel. The dishwasher cycles thru and we get clean dishes, but we should be able to select different modes, and not just the one it is stuck in. Is it the control panel or the control board?
1 Answer Hello Thomas. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel 6-919825 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
Nicki December 28, 2011 for Model Number MDB&601AWB I was cleaning and on the right on the control board it was peeling up so lifted plastic to clean around it and now I do not have any lights. I am able to run the dishwasher by pressing start but nothing lights up. It looks like the thread to the control board came out and I can’t get it back together. Do I have to replace the whole control panel or can I fix it another way?
