Susan October 19, 2013 for Model Number Maytag MDB7601aws I just received and replaced the control panel on my Maytag MDB7601aws. I am not sure if I have the ribbons correctly installed because the small blue ribbon came off while I was unscrewing the other hex screws. I am not sure where the white ribbon goes on the bottom of the black box. After getting it all back together the dishwasher will only work with a rinse cycle. Is this due to the ribbons not correctly installed or is this a bigger issue.
1 Answer Susan, The ribbon harness can only go in one position on the control board. You will want to make sure that the ribbon harnesses have good connections. If this checks ok then the control board would be the issue. Read More...

Wayne July 17, 2013 for Model Number MDB9601AWW My dish washer has a problem with the start/cancel button. The lights for the start and delay seemed to be fading at first. Later they only displayed across the lower half of the display. While the lights for the individual wash cycles seem to work fine, sometimes the dishwasher would sometime not want to start (and I could not cancel the cycle either). After a half an hour playing with the buttons, it would start. It now does not want to start at all (individual lights for wash cycles still works fine. Is it a problem with the control panel or control board or both?
Dylan June 05, 2013 for Model Number RF315PXKB I am wondering if control panels between similar Whirlpool ranges are inter-compatible? Specifically, Whirlpool part number 6610151 looks identical on the front as my panel, with only a couple of differences on the back of the circuit board itself. All of the connections look to be the same. My board part number is 6610464. Will 6610151 work as a replacement? What problems or differences might installing this similar part cause? Thank you!
1 Answer Dylan, If the part is not showing for your unit then it will not work. The units may have differences that we are not aware of, possibly a different feature or the way the wiring connects through it. Read More...
Bill May 17, 2013 i had a power surge and my electric range started to beep and flashing a error code of F1-E1. i am told its a control panel or board or touch pad. the cook top comes on but the oven does not work.not sure of the model #. My use and care guide has model numbers of RF340BXK,RF341BXK AND RFK361PXK. ARE ALL THESE PARTS INTERCHANGEABLE?
1 Answer Bill, The power surge, most likely caused the control board to "scramble" and become inoperative " F1E1 EEPROM checksum failure SUGGESTED CORRECTIVE ACTION PROCEDURE 1. Unplug range or disconnect power longer than 30 seconds. 2. Plug in range or reconnect power. 3. Observe for longer than 1 minute. 4. If failure remains, go to step 5. 5. Unplug range or disconnect power. 6. Replace control" Unfortunately, the control board WP4453710 is no longer available from the manufacturer. Ed January 15, 2013 for Model Number 6--91825 I just installed this part but in the middle of installation I was distracted and don't know which way the ribbon connector fits into the control module.
1 Answer Hello Ed, Since you didn't list a model number I can't send you any illustrations, but looking at the control panel, it does not twist. The ribbon cable should lay flat and double back up to the control. Read More...
Curt December 08, 2012 for Model Number MDB 7601AWB What are the steps to replace Panel-con WPL 6-919825?
1 Answer Hello Curt, To replace the control panel 6-919825, first disconnect power to unit. Once power is disconnected then you would want to remove the torx head screws around the inner perimeter door. Once the screws are removed then you will lift the inner door panel. With inner door panel lifted look for the 1/4" screws that hold the control panel in place. Remove control board and latch assembly, remove control panel and put new panel on and reinstall. Phyllis July 12, 2012 for Model Number MDB7601AWS When my problem started I could only get the auto clean to come on, then it quit and now it is the rinse only I can get to work. I have replaced the control panel about 2 years and it is doing the same thing, however I want to make sure before I order the part.
1 Answer Phyllis, We're pretty sure you're needing the control panel 6-919825. You can "circuit" test each key pad with a multi meter TJMA-DM1 and the tech sheet located on the frame or the back of the kickplate. here's some meter usage information [http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html] should you decide to test the keypad assembly.
