Janeen, The hE is a heater error. It indicates an invalid heating temperature in running the dryer. Check for a restricted vent system and check the thermistor resistance. The thermistor resistance should be 10K ohms @ 77 Degrees Fahrenheit.

Hello John. It sounds like a 2 fold issue here. You will need to replace the control board for the element issue and the panel for the stuck button issue.

Majolley for Model Number mdbh945aws3

My dishwasher stopped working, and I noticed the release handle was broken, and thought perhaps the limit switches were broken, so I replaced the handle assembly, however, still no joy. I'm trying to determine if it's the control board or the button panel. Looking at the ribbon, I was wondering which pinouts correlate to which button so I can test for continuity change as buttons are hit to validate the button panel. Maybe I need better glasses, but I'm counting 13 contacts in use for 6 buttons, is one of them a ground? I replaced the button panel about a year ago when the start/stop button stopped working. The led's on some of the buttons are dim, but some have just been that way since I replaced the button panel.

Hello Majolley, If the unit is completely dead, first remove the kick panel and check the power supply connection for burned wire nuts. While there, make sure voltage is being supplied from the breaker. Check both door switches and the leveling of the unit. If it isn't level or isn't properly secured under the counter top, the door switches may not be making contact when the door is shut. Since you didn't say if there was any sound from the unit or not, there are too many possibilities to cover. If you could please re-post with more details such as, "unit completely dead" or "unit fills and stops". This gives us enough information to give a fairly accurate diagnosis. Thank you for your understanding.
