Rodger November 24, 2013 for Model Number Maytag Dishwasher MDBH975AWB We have a Maytag MDBH975AWB dishwasher that has been great till a week ago. We thought that we got a bad batch od dishwasher soap because it wasn't disolving completely. We changed brands today and the same thing happens. The door for the soap is not opening soon enough. That's what I think anyway. What needs to be replaced as the first option?
1 Answer Rodger, You will want to check the water temperature in the unit to make sure that the temp is above 120 degrees as this will also cause the issue. 1 Answer Hello Randy, If not all of the buttons work, you need to check the unit for bad electrical connections. The ribbon cable from the touch pad is where I would start. Using a pencil eraser, wipe the traces in the same direction they run to prevent damaging the ribbon cable. If this doesn't correct the issue, the touch pad or the electronic control is at fault.
