Sandy October 19, 2017 for Model Number WRX988SIBM03 We have reverse osmosis water to the refrigerator and faucet. Do we need a water filter for the refrigerator or a plug?
1 Answer Hello Sandy, If there is enough water pressure from the RO system to properly close the water valve properly, you will need to remove the filter. This unit does not show that a bypass plug is necessary for the unit to dispense water. Read More...

Plmonty5 October 03, 2017 for Model Number WRS322FDAW04 I am trying to buy a water filter bypass plug for this model of Whirlpool refrigerator and can't find one. Is this one of the models that automatically bypasses the filter when you remove it? Or is there a water filter bypass part that I can buy?
1 Answer Plmonty, No you will not need a water filter bypass plug for your model refrigerator. Open the water filter door on the base grille of the refrigerator, carefully remove the filter, wipe up any spillage and close and snap the filter door in place. The filter housing has a "automatic" bypass mechanism, that will allow water to flow through the system when the filter is removed. Thanks, Read More...
