Hello Mark! Yes, the pump 1901A is the correct add on for your model KUIC15NRTS1. It is a closed system however, it will not shut the unit down if it were to develop a leak. Thanks.

Stephen, The unit should have come with clamps that you would use. The hose may have ends that can be cut off if too large and then put the hose clamp around it and tighten it down.

Hello Stephen, The hoses were not intended to be connected together. The hose shown in the picture is actually not the correct hose. I believe the correct one is W11766555. Since there are no pictures of this part number I can only assume this is the correct part number for the clear hose that should come with the drain pump kit.

Stephen, If the water is backing up into the ice bin part of the unit then the most likely issue will be the drain pump. Unfortunately we do not have a wiring diagram of the drain pump. There is not a check valve on the gravity feed.

Hello Tom, The pump 1901A should have come with instructions on the install in more than one language. However, you will remove the old drain hose from the unit and install it onto the insert of the pump. Then connect the drain hose from the pump to the drain line. These are not hard to install into the units. You could also use the internet to translate the instructions you did receive.

Hello Vic, The pump is designed to pump water away from unit to an alternate source when draining. In the event of a failure the pump is designed to shut unit down. The melting ice will go directly to the pump to be pumped out when necessary.
