Jeff January 16, 2017 for Model Number Wdt920sadmo I have a dishwasher model# wdt920sadmo, it is around 18 months old, it will not drain and has been doing this for some time, it will drain sometimes and most times not, what could be the issues?
1 Answer Jeff, You will want to check to make sure that there is nothing caught in the drain pump and check to make sure that the drain motor impeller is not damaged. These would be the the most common things to happen. Also check the drain hose for clogging and check to make sure that there is power to the drain pump when the unit is calling for drain. If there is power to the pump motor then the pump would be the issue. If there is no power then the control board would be the issue. Read More...
Jared October 10, 2016 for Model Number Mdb7749sbb3ce. Hello, this dishwasher is 18 months old. It doesn't drain after a cycle. I cannot hear the drain pump turn on. The drain lines and sump filter are clean and clear. I pulled the drain motor and it ohms out a 1/400th (.04) resistance. Is this within the correct range for resistance? If I push the drain button, I can hear it click around circuit board. It sounds like a small relay trying to send power to the motor, but to no avail. In diagnostic mode I get 8-2, "which is drain motor circuit," right?
1 Answer Jared, You will want to hit the drain button and check to see if there is 120 vac getting to the motor. If there is no power then the control board would be the issue and if there is power then the motor is faulty and would need replaced. As for the resistance of the drain motor, it should have a resistance of 15 to 25 ohms. Read More...
Kris K July 15, 2016 for Model Number whirlpool I just had the pump, model W10348269 replaced on my whirlpool dishwasher. The dishwasher works, but now my disposal will only turn on if the disposal switch is in the on position, and the dishwasher door gets opened or closed. In other words, it is the act of opening the dishwasher door that turns on the disposal now. What could possibly be causing this? The disposal and dishwasher share the same outlet. Disposal worked fine until the pump was replaced. The service company said they would show up to fix it but so far they have not.
1 Answer Hello Kris. You need to check the wiring under the dishwasher and going to the disposal. This is an electrical issue. Read More...
Donh June 16, 2016 for Model Number WDF510PAYSA I put the new part in and heard the motor spinning. But the water did not get pumped out. So I removed the shelves and wedged a plunger in there and it started working. Did the pump need to be primed ad there might have been an air gap in there? Perhaps something was lodged in there? Pls help to understand what happened.
1 Answer Don, The WPW10348269 drain pump usually wouldn't need to be "primed" it's the lowest area of the sump, and would normally fill up with water first(if the dishwasher is installed properly). Some dishwasher have a "check valve" inside the drain hose, where the hose attaches to the drain pump, this is a "safety device that should keep dirty drain water from backing up into the dishwasher. Occasionally the check valve can get "stuck" or blocked by debris, and the dishwasher wont drain. You do want to check and make sure the drain hose itself isn't twisted or kinked and routed as short and straight as possible. Thanks Read More...

Rajeev October 22, 2015 for Model Number DU1055XTSS3 The DW is not draining the water. I have checked it from inside and it was fairly clean. The float looks to be in good shape and is not broken. The outlet pipes looked fine. Without the float and assembly, I put some water in and set it to drain. The motor is humming but the water is not draining. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Rajeev, You will most likely have to open the pump from inside the tub and replace the chopper assembly W10083957V. This is a common issue and you should use a wet vacuum to clear the area since a small shard of glass can destroy the new part. Read More...
