Mary July 15, 2015 for Model Number KUDS30IXWH1 It does NOT wash the dishes. Water comes into the machine and leaves as per cycle, the heater works, I can hear the motor. The arms do not spin and it appears no water is coming in to them to cause them to spin. The control panel has been replaced twice, yup, twice, but seems to working for the time being. We have decided to try for a fix since it was an expensive machine when we bought it only four years ago. We really have nothing to lose as failure to fix means junking it. Annette February 22, 2015 for Model Number KUDS30IXSS6 Watching video on how to replace drain pump ( part #W10348269) on your site. It shows that I need to fully remove the dishwasher from the cabinet. I do not want to do this as I have new wood floors and do not want to scratch them. Other UTube videos show that this part can be replaced without removing the dishwasher from the cabinet. Can you tell me if I can replace this part without removing the entire dishwasher from the cabinet?
1 Answer Annette, No, the dishwasher does not have to be removed from the cabinet. It makes it a lot easier if you do. You can attempt to remove the drain pump through the removal of the kick plate and lower access panel. It's a tight squeeze and a little difficult to work around under the dishwasher. Another approach is to remove the pump assembly from the tub through the door, You'll need to remove the racks and spray arm and manifold pipe, disconnect the drain hose and wire harness, then remove the pump mounting tabs and lift the pump up and out of the tub. Lela January 07, 2015 for Model Number GU3600XTVY2 My dishwasher will not drain completely. I have cleaned out the top screens in the wash basin, checked all hoses and lines, and have also replaced the pump. It is still not draining. Did I miss the problem? I have about 1-2 inches of water in the bottom of the wash basin and if I hit the drain button, it will drain, but very slowly and not completely. Any suggestions?

1 Answer Robert, You will have to access the drain pump and turn the unit on a drain and spin and test for 120 vac at the drain pump to see if there is power. Jim June 05, 2014 for Model Number GU2455XTSS3 The dishwasher is 7 years old and runs fine, but does not drain at the end of a normal run and leaves about 1-2" of water in the bottom. If I hit the cancel/drain button after the cycle completes, the dishwasher drains without issue. I have pulled out and checked the food cutter and cleaned out the entire bottom of the interior of the dishwasher. I also replaced the control board based on a different thread I had read, but that did not fix the problem. Do I need a new drain pump?

Big Dog February 10, 2014 for Model Number MDB7749AWW1 This dishwasher does not drain water out at end of cycle. I have checked the drain line and it is clear. I took the drain line loose from where it connects to the plumbing drain and let it drain into a bucket. The pump comes on couple of times during wash cycle and at the end but the flow is very slow. I have not removed the drain pump to check for any clogging around the impeller because I was not sure how it came out. Could it be that the impeller is worn down or clogged and the controls are timed base and the washer is cutting off at end of cycle because of this and leaving the water in the tub? If pump is draining correctly what should water flow be like coming out end of drain hose?

Jules December 12, 2013 for Model Number kenmore 665.13472K601 My dishwasher was not draining properly, as there was water sitting at the bottom at the end of the cycle. I cleared out all of the debris from inside the dishwasher, and it still happened. I noticed that there was a lot of dirt inside the drain hose, so I cleaned that out too, and same thing... I got a repair man out, and he said that the drain loop and drain pump needed to be replaced, and that it would cost $106 just for the parts alone. I don't have a lot of money right now, as I am a girl taking care of a house by myself, so I need help and am trying to do this by myself. From reading other people's questions, it looks like it is probably my drain pump that needs to be replaced, but is the drain loop necessary to replace as well, or can I just replace the pump?
