Hello Gordie. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Hello David. Remove the cover off the head of the icemaker. Then release the locking tab on the harness and unplug it from the icemaker. Once it is removed, you will plug the harness into the head of the new icemaker unit.

Mathew, You will want to turn the adjustment screw clockwise to reduce the cube size. You will not want to turn more than one complete rotation or it will damage the contacts. If after the adjustment the unit is still overfilling then either the water valve is not fully seating or the module on the icemaker is faulty.

Hello Allan! It seems the model provided did not come equipped with an icemaker from the manufacturer. If an icemaker kit has already been installed on your unit and you need the icemaker only, you'll need to use part number 4317943. However, if an icemaker has never been installed on this refrigerator you'll need the entire kit with valve, bucket, etc- part number W11700559. Thanks.

Hello Glenn, This is most likely the water valve WP2315576 causing the issue. Remember there is a chance that the contacts in the icemaker 4317943 module can be sticking but this does occur as frequently. Low water pressure to the water valve can also cause this complaint.
