Hello John, This is an automatic icemaker. Basically this means that when the ice level gets up to the point that the bale arm cannot drop all the way back down, it is like an off switch and power is not supplied for the icemaker motor to cycle again. If it is not stopping in this manner, the icemaker off switch inside it is defective. Otherwise, the ice will build up so the bale arm cannot allow it to cycle.

Hello Bernice, If we had the model number for your appliance from the I.D. tag, we could determine more accurately what is causing the issue. If the auger motor is making any sound, there could be an issue with the ice bin. If it is not making any sound, there could be an electrical issue. Hello Jerry, You will need to verify sufficient water pressure is present at the water valve. If there is a crimped line or a valve stopping up with mineral deposits and sedimentation from the water supply, this can cause the water valve to close too slowly and make the icemaker overfill.

Hello Paula. Most of the time, the issue with slow harvest times is due to freezer temp. You need the freezer to be between 0 and 5° for the icemaker to cycle properly.
