Joe, You will want to test the thermostats and thermal fuse in the unit. Check them for continuity. If they check good for continuity then check the heating element to make sure that it is good. If the heating element is good then test at the heater relay on the control board from one side to chassis ground for 120 vac and then check the other lead to chassis ground for 120vac. If there is 120 vac at both parts then the issue will be a faulty control board.

Hello Jim. You will need to release the console off the unit and remove the two brass colored clips under the control panel. Then unplug the wires for the lid switch and pull the cabinet off the washer frame assembly. Hope this helps.
