Cal June 02, 2013 for Model Number LSQ9549LGO What agitator repair kit do I need and how do I separate upper agitator from lower? I have tried pulling apart with no success. Model # LSQ9549LG0.
1 Answer Cal, your model LSQ9549LG0 uses the short cam agitator repair kit part number 285809. Once you remove the agitator bolt the upper agitator will pull off the bottom agitator. It may take a little force to remove due to soap build up over the years. There is a repair video available on the parts page for installation information. Thanks. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Darrell. If the model you have uses a cam kit, you will need to order and replace the cam kit in the unit. Read More...
Mason May 01, 2013 for Model Number LSB6200KQO I did get both the lower and upper agitators removed. However, these two agitators do not separate from each other. Not sure I can do that or not. If not, should I get the entire agitator assembly? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Mason. These come apart. Just stand on the bottom and jerk upward. If you can not, then order the complete assembly 285565. Read More...

Keith S February 17, 2013 for Model Number GST9675JQ0 Whirlpool washer I am unsure of whch agitator cam repair kit to use (short med ?). How can I determine which to order.
Craig January 26, 2013 for Model Number Whirlpool LSQ9010PW3 Got the Cam-Agitator (285809) for Whirlpool LSQ9010PW3 that I ordered and can tell it's the right part. The issue is that the plastic tabs on the lower agitator that this part should rest on have been melted onto the original agitator cam so that I cannot slide it up and out. Tried using an Exacto knife to cut loose the melted plastic but the mfg did too "good" a job. suggest folks look at their Whirlpool to see if they have the same issue first. Looks like I will have to go for the full agitator assembly - 3951744 - just to fix the Cam-Agitator dogs! How sad. Any different advice?
1 Answer Craig, The agitator Assembly 285565 may be the best option. But you should be able to get by with the agitator bottom WP3951632,thrust washer/spacer [AP3020663} and the cam repair kit 285809 you already have. Read More...
