K.C.6969, You will want to check the drain pump to make sure that it is not siezed up, which would be the most likely issue. The pump part number is WP6-2022030.

Mario M. for Model Number LA882

I recently ordered part #208847. I broke off the drain elbow coming out of the back of the washer (small part of it is still sticking out). It seems that this part that I ordered goes on with a twist lock motion, as it has tabs! But the remaining part on the washer has (4) screws holding it in place, and the only way to connect the new, with the old is to remove the screws, and disconnect the broken part that is still connected to the part inside the machine. How do I open the back of the machine to get at the parts? Is there a video showing the repair process?

Hello Mario, Unplug the unit before beginning to prevent injury or death from electrical shock. To open the unit you need to remove the two large Phillips head screw at the bottom of the front panel and remove the front panel. Now you will need to remove the two 3/8 inch head screws, one on each side. This will allow you to raise the main top and access the part.

Chet, Water will shoot out of the top of the siphon break because of the plunger at the top being bad in which the siphon break would need to be replaced.

Hello Ed. It sounds like the clutch is bad and will need to be replaced, if the drain pipe in the house in not clogged and backing up. I would check that first.

Hello Connie. Check the pump and see if it is clogged. If not, and it does not drain, replace the pump on the unit.

Hi Jimbeau. You can try as long as the drain water does not back up on you. There has to be a air "break opening" in order to let air in when the drain is in progress. The Siphon break is part # 206638. The gasket is a separate part # WP214765. Thank You.
