Dave September 04, 2012 I have replaced the pan slides before as ours have broken frequently on our Whirlpool refrigerator. However, this time I am unable to install the pan slide. I line it up and it appears able to be slid into place, but it won't budge. I bought more than one slide and tried a couple just in case one was defective, but have the same problem. How do I go about installing the pan slide? Thank you.
1 Answer Hi Dave. The slide AP3180471 has been changed on the design to work with other models as well. If the pins are not needed on the ends of the slide, you can cut them off, and still use the slide correctly. Some models use all three and others will only need to use 1. Hope this helps. Ken May 05, 2012 for Model Number GS5SHAXTB01 Refrigerator. The pan slide is AP3180471. Both plastic pieces have broken and the bin underneath has not support. How do you remove/install the pan slide? There are three rectangular pins on each.
1 Answer Hi Ken. After removing the pan. Look cross ways into the track itself. Use a 45° pick too to reach into the front and back release tabs that hold the track assy. onto the inner cabinet. Pull out and off at the same time. The pan slide track is part # WP2223320. Thank You. Read More...
Darryl January 24, 2012 for Model Number 106.55613400 I asked a question the other day and you answered. It was about p/n AP3180471. Apparently I either did not ak my question properly or you did not understand it. You told me to turn it over. I have it the correct way. I am talking about 3 pins on the back side of the item. They are on the side that your picture does not show. The center pin is the pin that locks the slide inplace. The other 2 have been added from the original design to help keep the slide in place. The AP3180471 will work but is different from the original design. I had to go to a Sears on look at a new unit to find this data.

Darryl January 21, 2012 for Model Number 106.55613400 I ordered and received AP3180471 (2223320) Pan slide for my fridge. The units are simaular but not the same. The difference is that the old ones have one round locking tine that engages into the fridge bracket hole once the slide is installed. The new units have 3 each round tines. My fridge bracket only has 1 hole. I assume this is an improvement to hold the slides in place but my fridge brackets only have 1 each hole.
1 Answer Hello Darryl. You will need to make sure the pan slide WP2223320 is turned over in the correct direction. Based on the model number, this is the correct slide. Hope this helps. Read More...

There are slide holes that allow it to connect to the shelf. These both have large front openings then get narrow. Turned around it would be backwards. Help? :)
