Edward Kelly June 17, 2022 for Model Number SF385PEEQ0 I received spark module W10110491. In attempting to replace I notice the old spark module has two plug on the top and the new one has three plugs straight across. Is this correct? Can the middle plug be skipped? The old module only has 6 plugs all together and only 6 wires.. The new module has plugs. The old has one white and one red (left) plug on top (right).
Joe February 03, 2021 for Model Number kgcc506rbl01 kitchenaid This is an old glass top with 4 gas burners. The right rear burner doesn't click but can be lit with a lighter. I see where I could replace the switch (Harness with all four?), the module as well as spark igniter. I removed burners and knobs, but I don't see how the glass top is attached to the box. Does the unit need to be totally removed to replace these parts? How do I remove the glass top? This glass top is cracked already but I see you don't have it. Can it be ordered? And can the seal strip be ordered? Thanks for great service always. Joe
1 Answer Joe, to remove the glass top, the entire cooktop would need to be lifted up from where it is set so that the glass top W10564558 mounting screws can be removed. The glass top is a special order item that is ordered from the manufacturer when a customer order is placed. Read More...

Mike August 23, 2018 for Model Number SF360BEEW0 I purchased a replacement Module-Spk Part # W10110491 to replace the original Part # 3186493 - the part I received is different - on the bottom of the part is power connections -N a middle plug that looks like a upside down T and +L - my existing part the power connection is at the top - and I only have 2 connection a red and a yellow - Does my red wire go on the +L and my yellow wire go on the -N and do I leave the middle connection empty? Thanks
1 Answer Mike, Per your schematic your hot wire and neutral should be black and white. If this is not the case you can do a live voltage test with extreme caution and disconnect the two wires in question and test each one individually to ground to see which line gives you 120 volts. That will go on your l side. Maxq July 16, 2017 for Model Number SC8640EDQ6 Great site.... Water boiled over using the right rear burner on our cooktop. Afterwards. none of the burners would spark, but we can light with matches. Outlet and circuit breaker are fine. Does this sound like its most likely the spark module? Assuming it is, do I need to totally remove the cooktop and turn it upside down to access the old spark module for replacement? Viewing it from above or from below, I don't see anything that looks like the module. Thanks!
Hal August 16, 2015 One burner on my cook top does not "click", but the other three work just fine. Is this the correct part to fix this?
1 Answer Hello Hal. If you can turn on another burner and that one sparks, then replace the switch for that burner that does not spark. If it still does not spark, replace the module. Read More...
Larry February 28, 2015 for Model Number SC8640EDB6 Why don't you show how to repair on a cook top unit and not a regular gas stove that sits on the floor? I have a SC8640EDB6 model and your video doesn't show this model I would like to replace the spark module #AP4364254 but do not want to disconnect the gas line. Is there a way to avoid taking off the gas line?
1 Answer Larry, To replace the spark module on this unit you will need to pull it out from installation. You will most likely need to disconnect the gas supply when removing it from installation to take it apart. Read More...
Fixer February 25, 2015 for Model Number sc8640edb6 How does one remove the burners from my cook top unit to replace the W10110491 module? Appears that they are made into the top of the unit. Would like for you to recommend a video for me to watch on how to do this.
1 Answer Fixer, Unfortunately there are no videos for this but if you remove the burner caps on your unit, once burner caps are removed then you would remove the screw holding the burner head in place. Read More...
