Robert S Hollister , CA August 26, 2016 Appliance: Whirlpool 30" Sealed Gas Cooktop SC8640EDQ6 No spark at any of the four burners Sealed burner gas cooktop has to be removed from the counter top in order to disassemble. This means disconnecting the gas line. To disassemble the unit you will have to remove the gas line regulator. Once the unit is separated you will see the spark module. I replaced the module. Note: Because the new module has been updated from the original it does look different. I suggest you put the new module along side the old taking one wire at a time from the old to the new. If your unit is as old as mine (15yrs) I suggest replacing all the burner ignitors while you have the unit apart. All said and done the new spark module fixed the problem. Jeanette N Tucson , AZ November 10, 2015 Appliance: Whirlpool Free Standing, Gas SF385PEEQ0 No burners would light automatically no clicking sound After a bit of web research, I purchased a new spark module for my gas range. Installation was very easy, although the new replacement was a bit longer than the pre-existing part. I also needed to replace the screw that holds the module in place with a longer one because of the design of the module housing, but that was no big deal. The repair was extremely easy, anyone would be able to do it. I can once again light my burners!
