Barbie May 16, 2012 for Model Number mzd2768gew I can't get the L-end of the spring to fit into the half-moon hole! It's too short! Is the L-end supposed to poke in from the same side as the solenoid is on or the side with the two trapeziod-shaped horizontal ridges? This plastic part is getting pretty chewed up and I've been at this for 10 hours. I have to be missing something!
1 Answer Hello Barbie. The short end of the spring 61004388 goes in to the slot on the arm and the long end is placed against the housing. You need to only twist the spring 1 time and install it. 1 Answer Hi MJ. Ice door fountain kit - Kit includes flapper, solenoid, strike arm, solenoid plunger and instructions. Spring not included. For spring order AP4070068. Part Number: 12001991. The L- "side" hooks into the Fountain control bracket right above the solenoid in the half-moon slotted hole. The flat end of the spring slides first onto the strike arm and rest there.
