Thomas C Iowa , LA August 29, 2015 The ice door would not close all the way and would allow air to go up to the ice storage compartment this would cause a frosty build up which interfered with getting ice to come down the shute We ordered the Ice Door Fountain Kit and ice door spring, which was delivered to our home within three or four days. I understood everything about how to change it except the placement of the spring. A video on your website showed exactly how to put the spring in place and helped me get the job done quickly. Kim R Paragould , AR July 16, 2016 Appliance: Model WHIRLPOOL Ice door gaskst not sealing I wasn't sure why I was getting a buildup of frost / ice inside the Freezer at the entrance where the ice dump to exit out the door. I would have to take a hot wash rag and clean it off every day. I trouble shooted the problem by sticking a small towel on the inside of the hole to see if that would slow the progression of ice buildup, which it did quite a bit but not altogether, it still did it a little so I wasn't convinced that the door chute was the problem, so I stuck the small towel on the outside of the refrigerator in front of the ice door chutet this pretty much solved the problem only developing a smaller amount of frost now on the inside of the freezer at the entrance of the ice chute. I decides to take the chance and buy the Ice Door Fountain Kit for my side by side frig/freezer. Since I had taken fountain apart prior to watching the video I was somewhat familiar with the way it looked inside but after watching the video I was much more clear on how the fountain was suppose to be removed and went much smoother when I received the part to replace it. I recommend watching the video if you have access. The part came quickly as they stated by Fed Ex. and I was completely satisfied with the Kit. Cudo's to Appliance Parts for this repair project.
