Hunter December 02, 2018 I have an Amana washing machine that was in our home when we bought our trailer from my aunt and uncle. They had bought it from someone local who works on washers and dryers and then resells them refurbished. The washer shakes violently when it gets on the spin cycles. I have looked at all the videos about springs. The springs on ours seem to be attached just at first glance after opening up the washers top. I will get more springs if I need to. I’m just wondering if the springs could be bad or if it may be another cause. The washer is balanced, meaning it doesn’t move when I try shaking it from side to side. The tub is wobbly, but I’m not sure how firm the springs are suppose to make it. I really don’t want to buy a new washing machine because I feel like this is a simple fix. Can you help me? Thanks, Hunter
1 Answer Hunter, The springs would be the most likely cause for this unit to get off balance. Read More...
Rick September 15, 2014 for Model Number MAV2755AWW I ask this question yesterday with reference to the lower bearing but after looking at parts schematic and watching more video, not sure if exactly what additional replacement part(s) I need?? A couple of months ago, I did replace ALL tub springs. The old springs were weak as the tub would spin very out of round on spin cycle. The new springs worked at first, but after a few semi unballanced loads, the tub would spin way out of round!! Now I am not sure what would be the next replacement? The tub seals good, e.g., no leaks, and all the cycles work etc... BUT the out of round spin is so bad the machine will 'walk' itself across the floor if not caught in time. Tks Rick (Bo Alley or T1000) Have used site since 2007, and saved lots of $$
1 Answer Hello Rick. You will need to look for plastic shavings in the bottom of the machine. If there are some, the snubber ring WP21002026 will need to be replaced to balance the machine. Read More...
Michael M. November 08, 2013 for Model Number pav2300aww Part no. 12002773 is described as a spring kit, how many springs in kit?
Tom April 28, 2012 for Model Number hav2357aww The tub goes out of balance very easily. What parts would be needed?
1 Answer Hello Tom, First, check under the unit for oil. If oil gets on the sunbber WP21002026 or if the unit was operated for a long time sitting un-level, the snubber will probably need to be replaced. The snubber should have no lubrication at all. The assembly goes together dry. It doesn't even use a dry lubricant. Read More...
Steve August 15, 2011 for Model Number HAV3460AWW The tub tilts and stays in any which way you push it. From what I understand I need a new snubber ring and 6 springs to stabilize the tub. My question is, the springs are so tight, How do you remove the old springs and how do I install the new springs? How do you get springs to stretch enough to take the old ones out and to put the new ones in? Thanks!

Nancy A. August 09, 2011 for Model Number PAVT234AWW I changed the snubber and installed 5 of the 6 suspension springs. I can't get the one to the right in the back on. Any suggestions? I tried coins to stretch the spring. Close but not cigar. Are the springs installed in a specific order? Please help.
1 Answer Hello Nancy. Try removing the front spring and let it pull the tub toward the back. Install the rear spring 12002773 and then install the front springs on the washer. Hope this helps. Read More...
