Edna H. May 29, 2018 I cannot read the model number of my dishwasher. It is a Frigidaire gallery. I need a spring for the door so it doesn't fall open.
1 Answer Hello Edna, You may need to use a flashlight and a magnifying glass to make out the model and sometimes shining the light on the label at an angle helps to make out the characters in the model number. I'm sorry but there are too many lengths and strengths of springs for Frigidaire dishwashers to be able to just pick out the correct one randomly. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...

Doug October 22, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool dishwasher DU7900 XL Hello, Concerning door spring kit: Part Number: AP3115255, Without pulling out my dishwasher to examine it, I can't tell if there are springs on both sides of the door, or on only one side. Your illustration shows only one side. Can you tell me if the dishwasher door requires two kits, or one, to repair the door? Presently the door has no support at all. Thanks, Doug
Lindo November 26, 2011 for Model Number DU8900XT3 I see the coiled spring and am familiar on how to put it back into the door but wonder how to use the other part shown? I have a door with a wooden face installed, is this spring the heavier duty one which is required for this application? Thanks for any help you provide, LPN
1 Answer Lindo, Actually, you have a two piece door spring assembly 674744. The bent rod is installed in the opening of the frame on the side, the spring is slipped over the rod and one end is hooked into the "looped" opening of the rod, and is stretched and the other hook is inserted into the opening of the door trim panel. You may need to partially remove the dishwasher from the cabinet, to access the rod attachment area, and there is less tension on the spring when the door is closed and latched. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
